Jealousy
A heated rage deep within
Scouring my heart, my soul
Singing the edges of my mind with disdain and rage
A fire burning, searing
It’s not hard to lose myself in the flames
No reard for common sense
Fueling the inferno
Higher and higher they climb
Leaving ashes in their wake
A path of death, of destruction
The more you feed it the more it blazes out of control
Consuming you
Consuming your mind
Vivid reds and yellows stain your vision
Blurring your mind to the reality
Like damaged rose coloured glasses
Living in constant spite
Constant want of what others have with no satisfaction of your own
Only taking from others misery, others downfall
An ever increasing pressure in your chest
Begging to explode
To destroy the life you built
Consumed by flames
A drunkenness you’re not able to explain
An addiction you’re not able to control
Seething from every pore
Complete destruction of your self preservation
The enemy
Aptly named jealousy
